Preterite tense
Ok, while no one really uses this tense in everyday speech anymore (well, I still do), it’s still widely used in literature. This was by far the most common issue I encountered. Why MemoQ struggles so much to recognize these tenses remains a mystery. I initially thought it was mainly due to accents (since these tenses often sound like the accented versions of other tenses from the same verb), but I realized they aren’t recognized even when they’re unaccented.
To compensate for this gap, MemoQ just uses whatever it can to fill in the missing word, including present tenses, futures, subjunctives and unrelated nouns .
Arsenio Lupin - 🙊Non dettarmi: non ti ascolto🙉 edition (Say no evil: hear is feeble)
The Italian localization of Arsène Lupin's short story for LocJam, but I'm dictating it to MemoQ
