Human translation VS Google Translation
I asked ChatGPT to provide the prompt that I used with AI Image generator to create the header to this post 😬
Ok, Machine Translation is bad, but how bad?
I won't judge: English is not my native language and what might sound "decent" for me might be incorrect or sound totally non native. That's why I prepared a comparative version for you. You can check the external link here (in case you also want to check my Italian translation, on which the GTranslation is based, to make sure I didn't cheat!) or just skim through the images below.
Up to you to judge, up to the devs to judge if they're happy with such a sloppy (ops, am I judging?) localization for the game they lovingly nurtured and conceived over long months (or hours, in the case of jams) of work.
(I have to admit I laughed quite hard at some of those...)
Bonus image, it was too good to leave it there:
ChatGPT suggested "Create an image representing the comparison between two objects. The image should highlight the differences between the two objects and create a sense of visual comparison."
Thanks, AI Image Generator for providing nightmare fuel.
